Frontend Usability Design/Development Rockstar
We are an aggressively growing web growth company seeking the talents of a usability/front end development lead with great CSS, JS, XHTML skills. A creative ninja with a programmer’s brain.
Must have extensive experience in building dynamic web and user interfaces. The role involves using CSS, XHTML and advanced Javascript object such as XMLHttpRequest to engineer responsive interfaces that behave more like desktop applications than traditional web pages.
* Expert level knowledge of XHTML, CSS 2.0+, Javascript 1.2+, PHP
* Experience with JavaScript’s XMLHttpRequest object aka “AJAX” ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AJAX )
* Extensive knowledge of current techniques and toolsets, for the creation of dynamic web-based front-ends.
* Understanding of JavaScript event handling, cross browser differences, performance issues, and code optimizations
* Enthusiasm for working in a small company environment.
* Integrating client side with server scripting (PHP)
* Experience integrating front-end code with one or more server-side scripting technologies ( e.g., cgi/perl, php etc.)
* Experience working on Linux and with open source libraries
* Familiarity with XML and DTDs

Skills/Qualifications
- PHP - 3+ years experience advanced level
- MySQL - 3+ years experience, advanced level
- Standards-compliant XHTML/CSS layout knowledge
- Thorough understanding of object oriented programming/principles (OOP)
- Minimum 3+ years of Javascript experience (minimum 3 months AJAX-specific)
- Minimum 1+ years practical experience with AJAX/DOM
- Extremely detail oriented and organized, documents code thoroughly and uses QA principles
- Create large scale web applications to handle heavy user loads
- Trustworthy, reliable, honest and very conscious of overall security.
- Very quick learner and able to work with LEGACY code
- Meet deadlines
- Fluent written English skills and communication is a MUST.
- Likes challenges, thinks like an entrepreneur, is passionate, knows something about developing Web 2.0 type sites/communities
